About Xsealent Seafood Company

Founded in 1998, Xsealent Seafood Company (XSC) is located in the heart of Nova Scotia’s fishery, Cape Sable Island. From humble beginnings, XSC has grown to become one of the largest lobster and seafood processors in Sou'west Nova Scotia. Xsealent prides itself on the superior products it has to offer. They process wild-caught Atlantic Lobster and Halibut fished from the inshore and offshore areas along Nova Scotia’s pristine, rugged coastline.

Xsealent Seafood Company has developed strong markets throughout the world. Early on XSC built its brand and quality reputation in the Canadian domestic and traditional marketplaces, such as Boston and Maine. Today their reputation for quality products has grown significantly and they have expanded into markets all over the world. Currently, XSC is one of the largest live lobster exporters in Nova Scotia with markets that include all of North America, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia including Turkey, Russia, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Japan and especially China.

XSC production specialists and senior production staff are highly trained and knowledgeable in CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) quality controls and are trained and tested under the company's own firm and rigorous guidelines for quality assurance. Xsealent Seafood Company is certified by CFIA, C-TPAT, HACCP and MSC. The 10-acre oceanfront property consists of several seafood processing and lobster holding facilities and infrastructure, including their own private wharf to ensure the strictest quality controls and unloading protocols. Equipped with modern technology for year-round live lobster storage and fresh fish production, Xsealent Seafood Company has the capacity to supply millions of pounds of live lobster and other fresh quality seafood products to its customers annually.
